How To Secure A Pad Using Secure First
We will have a number of pads in our App. For example editor pad, browser pad etc. It will be interesting if you can secure every one of them. Using Secure First you can set the permissions easily.
Here we are going to see how to secure a pad:
Search and open the required pad in Apps First or you can do the same through the App itself by using customization.
Open the tab- security. There you will have dropdowns such as security model, Trace Security, License model. Select the security model- it can be custom, inherited from parent or owner etc.
If you selected the custom security model, you can set permissions. For this you can choose ‘security’ menu and from there ‘permissions’ in Action bar on the right hand side.
Open permissions and add the users and user groups for whom you would like to set permissions. You can select the user tab if you need to set permission for the user separately, or select user group menu to set permission for a group of users. Only users or members of the usergroups added here can get the access to this particular pad.
You will have the options to grant and deny the read, write, and execute accesses Granting browse access allows the user to view the control, Read access to read-only, editing is possible if you have update access. If execute access is denied, user won’t be able to see the pad.
Once you complete all these steps, you can check it in your App.
